Work bee Highlights
Thanks to the twenty or so people who turned out for the club annual work bee on June 9th. Everyone pitched in and we got a great deal of much needed maintenance work done. The work accomplished included: cut, split and stacked in the clubhouse our annual firewood supply; fresh coat of stain on all the picnic tables; a thorough cleaning of the clubhouse; cleaned the trap house; raised the Pheasant pen and set up the feeders and water for the season, among other things.
Sanderson Academy Annual Class Reunion
Sanderson Academy will have their annual class reunion on July 14th. They will be on club grounds preparing for the gathering in the morning, and the luncheon will begin shortly after noon.
**The range will be closed during this event**
Club Gun Sale
The club has received a very generous donation of firearms. A couple of these guns were raffled at the Game Dinner in February, and still more will be raffled at subsequent club events. However, there are three guns that may be of particular interest to military collectors, enthusiasts, or upland hunters: 1) 16GA Parker Bros SxS 2) Springfield 1903 30-.06 3) Lee Enfield 303 British. These firearms are being offered for sale to club members first before we send them to an online auction site. The club will be accepting sealed bids on these guns from now until the adjournment of our next club meeting July 19th, 2018. Any bids received will be opened at the end of the July meeting. Payment in full must be received no later than July 30th. If payment is not made in time the sale will go to the next highest bidder, or to the online auction, whichever the BOD deems appropriate. The guns will be present for inspection at the meeting. Some images are posted on the Photos page of the website. Minimum starting bids accepted for these firearms are:
1) 16GA Parker - $1250 2) Springfield 1903 - $700 3) Lee Enfield - $500
